The project looks like a fake photographic reportage that investigates the Android underclass. Through the mix of archive photos, original shots and artificial generative intelligence the project follows an explorative path of that unregulated working sector that changes everyday and which often is placed at the edge of the society.
We can see baby-sitter, banconists, cleaners interpreted by androids, and other than humans.
The purpose is to raise a disturbing feeling in the public eye highlighting the difference between the two communities in contact but not on the same level. In this way the migrant becomes an android and is transported to an alternative reality where, despite technological development the problem of integration remains.
The project is described through the use of black and white following in the stylistic features of post-war photo reportage and ends with a digital glitch belonging to the contemporary style. The unrealistic embrace between human beings and androids can’t be elaborated by the device: the result is an image broken down into thousands of colors.
