The research project, funded by Compagnia di San Paolo, aimed at: 1. developing a comparative account between the migration towards Italy of the Romanian people and of Roma of Romanian origin; 2.   investigating the type of mobility and the transnational relationships of the two groups; 3. analysing the residential settlement patterns and the types of formal and informal economy of Roma Romanians with particular reference to the case of the city of Turin; 4. analysing the social relationships between the Roma Romanians and the other Romanian migrants in Italy, comparing them with the way such relationships occur in  Romania.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
