13 March 2009

The research investigated, through a survey, the integration paths of young ‘second-generation’ individuals and analyzed the relational dynamics among peers (Italian/foreign), within the family, at school, and in other socialization agencies (associations, places of worship, sports groups, etc.). The study focused on three provinces in the Piedmont region (Turin, Alessandria, and Asti).

The data collection tool was developed in consultation with the international research group working on a project concerning second generations called “TIES” (The Integration of the European Second Generations).
