TOM: Transnationality of Migrants

This research project, co-financed by the European Union in the context of the Marie Curie Research Training Networks, aimed at investigating transnationalism starting from the family unit and the strategies that migrants and their family units pursue. Within the project FIERI coordinated the research area Migrants’ transnational practices and families in Europe, and offered scientific and educational support to two young researchers. The research work was coordinated by the Centre for Economic Policy Research in London (CEPR) and carried out in collaboration with other European partners: CeSPI, ITC-ILO, FAO, the “Tor Vergata” University in Rome and the University of Turin. The project was completed in 2010.
