The new Comparative Working Paper “The Social & Health Rights of Migrant Workers in Agriculture and Food Delivery Work in Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain” from the Horizon Europe project DignityFIRM has been published.
The Working Paper is dedicated to the analysis of the social and health rights of migrant workers employed in the agriculture and food delivery sectors in four European Union Member States: Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and Spain.
The study focuses in particular on the situation of migrants employed in precarious or informal working conditions, contexts in which effective access to fundamental rights is often limited or uncertain. The paper analyses three main dimensions: (1) health and social security rights “on paper”, (2) the interactions between irregular migration status and access to social and health rights, and (3) lessons learned and possible strategies to ensure more effective access to healthcare services and social protection.
Among the authors of the Working Paper is Eleonora Celoria (FIERI).
