The project, co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey, was coordinated by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in Vienna, in collaboration with the Turkish Directorate General of Migration Management (DGMM). The overall goal of the project was to contribute to the development of a comprehensive and sustainable migration policy in Turkey. In particular, the project analyzed the development, monitoring, and evaluation practices of migration policy in Germany, Italy, Russia, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and other non-EU countries. The aim was to provide examples of different methods and approaches to migration policy and crisis management. FIERI was tasked with the case study and the drafting of the report on Italy.
