FIERI has conducted a number of surveys on migration issues,
generally within large-scale European and international projects
which have seen the integration of qualitative and quantitative methods
and the use of CAPI (computer assisted interviews).

In most cases, our surveys concerned migrants with varied profiles.
To this end, we have been working for years to develop effective strategies to intercept categories that are often difficult to access and to overcome any linguistic and cultural barriers through the use of linguistic mediators.
In some cases, attitudes, relationships and behaviours of the local population towards foreigners were also surveyed.
It is a consolidated practice for FIERI to carefully select the interviewers, to offer them specific training with respect to the survey to be carried out and to monitor and support the work in the field for its entire duration.
