The project, funded under the Interreg Alpine Space program, aims to increase the attractiveness of the territory and social cohesion in alpine, mountainous, and peripheral regions by strengthening the delivery capacities of services for migrants. The project aims to support municipalities in social planning that takes into account cultural diversity and the quality of life for all citizens. It also seeks to strengthen cross-sector cooperation and increase awareness and knowledge about migrant integration in the mountainous and peripheral areas of the Alpine regions. To achieve this, Pluralps will provide an analysis tool applicable at a transnational level for medium to long-term social planning and migrant integration. Moreover, pilot projects for social integration, economic innovation, and the management of Alpine landscapes will be implemented in the relevant municipalities and regions. Finally, the partners will produce a “white paper” to support regulation and harmonization regarding integration issues. The partners of the project are: Agenzia di Sviluppo Regionale del Vorarlberg eGen (AT) (capofila), CIPRA International Lab Ltd. (AT), Agenzia di Sviluppo Regionale dell’Alta Stiria Orientale Ltd (AT), Rete di Comuni Alleanza nelle Alpi (AidA) (DE), Accademia Europea di Bolzano (EURAC) (IT), Regione Piemonte, Direzione Agricoltura (IT), Provincia Autonoma di Trento (IT), Istituto di Pianificazione Urbana della Repubblica di Slovenia (SI), Regione Auvergne Rhone-Alps (FR), Università di Lucerna – Scienze e Arti Applicate (CH). FIERI is a subcontractor of the Piedmont Region with the task of contributing to the development of project actions related to capacity building and the drafting of the White Paper.
The following are the main results produced by FIERI within the scope of the project:
