BIOGRAPHY

Davide Donatiello is Associate Professor in General Sociology at the Department of Cultures, Politics and Society – University of Turin. His main research interests and theoretical insights focus on the processes of defining identities and reputation of individual and collective actors, with particular attention to relational dynamics of recognition and of belonging to groups or categories in situations of daily life in which actors are involved. He has recently carried out research activities on the integration of immigrants, the reactions of local communities to reception of refugees and asylum seekers in extra-urban areas, the forms of employment and exploitation of foreign labor in agriculture.
