


Andrea Pogliano obtained a Ph.D. in sociology in 2008 at the University of Milan. He is now associate professor in Sociology of media and communication at the Department of Law, Political, Economic and Social Sciences at the University of Piemonte Orientale and Researcher for the Forum of International and European Research on Immigration (FIERI). He is president of the Degree Course in Social Service at the University of Piemonte Orientale (Asti university pole) He was a Marie Curie student at the CNRS – IRESCO in Paris and a visiting scholar at the EHESS (Paris). His main research interests are in media and migration, journalism and culture.
