Joint Final Conference “Three4GlobalSkills”. Bruxelles, 29 October 2026

Three4GlobalSkills – Mobilising Skills for a Just and Inclusive Europe

On 29 October 2026, three Horizon Europe projects – GS4S, Link4Skills and Skills4Justice – will come together in Brussels for a joint final conference addressing one of Europe’s most pressing policy challenges: how to respond effectively to skills shortages in a rapidly changing global and economic context.

This event brings together complementary strands of research on labour migration, skills development, and labour market transformation. Each of our research projects has spent nearly three years generating extensive evidence on the drivers of skills gaps, the functioning of labour markets, and the role of migration in addressing structural shortages – both within the European Union and globally.

FIERI is a partner in the GS4S project and contributes in particular to Work Package 5, “How to Make the Most of Migrants’ Skills”, which focuses on understanding how to make the most of migrants’ skills and promote their effective integration into labour markets. Sara Korbi, FIERI researcher, will speak in Session 2, “Skills Shortages: Evidence and Recommendations.”

The conference is designed as a policy-facing event for dialogue between researchers, policymakers, employers, civil society representatives, and international organisations.

The event will be live-streamed.
