EU-MIA – European Migrant Integration Academy
5 February 2013

This research and training project on integration policies and practices were funded by the European Integration Fund and conducted under the coordination of the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization, in collaboration with the COMPAS institute at the University of Oxford. The goal was to develop an experience of evidence-based cooperative learning: good integration practices were selected through a Call for Practices directed at local entities; the best practices were then further explored through field research, and the results were used to develop training tools (including short documentaries) for the Migrant Integration Academy held in Turin from February 3 to 7, 2014. The academy involved approximately sixty local administrators, officials, representatives of civil society, and scholars from as many European cities.
