The study, funded by Compagnia di San Paolo, investigates the processes of housing integration of the Roma population, making reference to four main dimensions: the physical quality, the economic quality, the territorial/environmental quality, the social quality. In order to understand the logics of the interventions in favour of Roma populations four lines of research have been identified: a) international comparison: analysis of two good practices of social and housing inclusion and of conflict resolution developed at local level in the two selected European countries; b) national comparison: analysis of two good practices of social and housing inclusion implemented in Italy at local level; c) reconstruction of the housing biography and family expectations; d) analysis of intergenerational differences. The whole study is supported by photos documenting the relations of the Roma and non-Roma population with their domestic space, their neighbours and their territory.
