Beyond Access: Education and Care for Early Childhood Among Italian and Foreign Families

The study, funded by Compagnia di San Paolo, investigates central aspects of the “culture of care” (beliefs, practices, expectations) in families of migrant origin who live in Turin, and evaluates its relationship with the current private and public offer of local early education. The investigation also examines the dynamics of integration in some Turin nursery schools and kindergartens, analysing both children and their families in their relations with each other and with the institution.
