24 February 2015

The aim of the MEDMIG project is to better understand migration across the Mediterranean in 2015, including mapping the journeys, motivations and aspirations of people arriving in Italy, Greece and Malta as well as those seeking to enter the EU from Turkey. The research explores how political, economic and security factors in migrant’s countries of origin and the countries that they pass through affect their journey to Europe. The research also compares the impact of the different policies in Italy, Greece, Malta and Turkey and how these influence migrant journeys and outcomes.
